Amazing Acres is a fall corn maze and pumpkin patch on a working farm in Edwardsburg, Michigan, open each September and October. The family grows soybeans, corn, hay and pumpkins, and opens more than 90 acres to visitors in the fall with over 100 attractions. General admission covers the corn maze, the barnyard animals, the Miner's Mountain Slide and a jumping pillow. Combo tickets add three extras from a list that includes a hayride, the cow train, the apple cannon, gemstone mining and paintball. The farm is open Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Anchor Creek Elk Ranch at Thunder Bay Resort

Hillman, MI

The elk preserve at Thunder Bay Resort in Hillman, Michigan, holds a resident herd of Rocky Mountain elk on 160 acres of the resort's 350-acre property along the Thunder Bay River. Draft horses pull carriages into the preserve in autumn and sleighs in winter, ending at a log cabin where a five-course dinner is cooked on 125-year-old wood cook stoves and served with up to six wines. The resort also has an 18-hole golf course, suites, villas, chalets and an RV park. Jack Mathias first developed the property's golf course in 1971, and Matt Smith took over after Mathias died in 2024.

Anderson & Girls Orchards is a fruit farm and farm market in Stanton, Michigan, bought by Terry and Gwen Anderson in 1978. The farm grows 150 acres of apples, 25 acres of strawberries and 20 acres of peaches. Its market sells donuts and other bakery items, ice cream, lunch and gifts, and a free petting zoo holds more than 140 animals. The market is open daily from March through December.

Centennial Cranberry Farm is a working cranberry farm at Whitefish Point, north of Paradise in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It is Michigan's oldest cranberry farm, planted by John Clarke in 1876 and run by the House family since 1905. The farm opens to visitors on weekends during the harvest, from late September to mid-October, with a short walking tour of the bogs and harvest equipment, a harvest video, and a gift shop selling fresh cranberries in October along with cranberry sauce, salsa and dried cranberries, also sold by mail order. The cranberries are not u-pick. Trails run through old-growth white pine on the property.

DeBuck's Family Farm is a corn maze and pumpkin patch in Belleville, Michigan, run by two generations of the DeBuck family and open to visitors since 2009. Each fall it plants a 15-acre corn maze and 20 acres of pumpkins, and admission covers the giant slides, jump pads, pirate ship and maze. The fall festival runs from mid-September into the first day of November. The farm began as a sod farm in 1980 and also holds tulip and sunflower festivals.
