Big Island Bees has produced organic honey from this Captain Cook apiary since 1972 and is now the largest organic honey producer in the United States. The free museum, open weekdays 10am-3pm, displays beekeeping history and honeycomb "apisculptures" that have been exhibited at the Guggenheim and Hirshhorn; guided hive tours run weekday mornings and early afternoons for $10-$30.
