Cabalo's Orchard and Gardens

Kuna, ID

Chan and Cathy Cabalo grow apples, peaches, pears, and plums pesticide-free across ten acres in Kuna, opening the rows to u-pick visitors from June through October. The orchard also grows vegetables alongside the fruit, all managed without spray. Opening day typically lands in late May once the apple trees finish blooming, with the exact date posted each spring on Facebook.

Candy Apple Orchard

Emmett, ID

Candy Apple Orchard grows Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, and Rome Beauty apples for u-pick on South Slope Road, open September through October. The farm presses cider on-site with a refurbished press, usually Sundays, and sells apple butter, pumpkin butter, fruit salsas, and jam alongside the fresh fruit.

Gem Orchard

Emmett, ID

Gem Orchards grows an unusually deep bench of stone fruit on 32 acres in the Emmett Valley — nine cherry varieties, nineteen peach varieties, five types of nectarine, and three apricots, plus blackberries and raspberries. Trees are kept low for ground-level picking, and the orchard runs on minimal spray with regenerative, conservation-minded practices. The operation traces back to 1997 in Weiser before planting roots in Emmett in 2015, building on the 85-year-old Benson Orchard legacy. U-pick and we-pick both run mid-June through October.

Jackson Orchards

Emmett, ID

Jackson Orchards grows Rome Beauty, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious apples on West South Slope Road in Emmett, one of several orchards clustered along that stretch of Gem County's fruit belt above the Payette River. Fall is apple season here, with the exact picking window shifting year to year with the weather.

Kelley Orchard

Filer, ID

Kelley's Canyon Orchard has worked this stretch of the Snake River Canyon north of Filer since 1908, making it one of Idaho's designated Century Farms. Nine fruit varieties come out of the ground here — apples, apricots, sweet and tart cherries, grapes, nectarines, pears, peaches, and plums — alongside a peony flower field. Baskets and ladders are provided for u-pick visitors, and hives kept on-site handle the pollinating. Season runs June through October; hours shift, so check Facebook first.

Perin Orchard

Emmett, ID

Perin Orchard grows red spur apples, a compact-growing strain of Red Delicious, on West South Slope Road in Emmett alongside several neighboring orchards. Like the rest of Gem County's fruit belt above the Payette River, picking runs through the fall.

SOLD - Northview Orchard

Buhl, ID

Northview Orchard grew apples, cherries, nectarines, pears, peaches, and plums for u-pick and pre-picked sales on East 4500 North in Buhl. The property sold in 2023, so the orchard operates under new ownership now — confirm current status before planning a visit.

Tyler's Rocky Point Orchard

Tyler's Rocky Point Orchard sits at the base of Rocky Point in Emmett — not Melba, despite how it's sometimes listed — growing cherries, apricots, plums, apples, and peaches across roughly a dozen varieties. It's a family-operated, open-air u-pick where visitors fill their own buckets straight from the trees.

Wee King's Orchard

Emmett, ID

Wee King's Orchard on West South Slope Road in Emmett was absorbed into Gem Orchards, now grown as cherries under owner Chris Berry rather than run as an independent u-pick. The South Slope corridor remains one of Gem County's densest clusters of small orchards.

Williamson Orchards & Vineyards

Caldwell, ID

Williamson Orchards & Vineyards is a fourth-generation operation on Sunnyslope Road, homesteaded in 1909 with grapes planted in 1998. The family farms the Snake River Valley AVA using organic methods where possible, producing wine alongside fruit, and pours in a tasting room along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail.
