About South Mountain Meats
South Mountain Meats sells beef from a family herd raised on native range grass in Owyhee County before finishing on a grain diet at their Caldwell operation. The family made the jump to full-time ranching in 2008, building purebred Angus and Hereford herds they'd started three years earlier. The cattle graze the same ground the family has run stock on for generations, about 15 miles from Jordan Valley, Oregon.
