Helemano Farms grows more than 12,000 Christmas trees on Oahu's Central Plateau, including Hawaii's historic Norfolk pine along with Leyland and Murray cypress. Mike O'Brien, who moved from California to work for Dole in 1967, opened the choose-and-cut farm to the public in 2007. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open Wednesday-Friday 2-6:30pm and weekends 10am-6:30pm at 1750 Whitmore Ave.
