Branched Oak Creamery

Branched Oak Farm raises a growing herd of Jersey cows on 240 certified organic acres in Raymond, Nebraska, 16 miles from downtown Lincoln, selling everything it produces locally — seasonal cheeses include quark, fresh mozzarella, Camembert, Alpine varieties, and Gouda. Management-intensive rotational grazing and Animal Welfare Approved practices back the on-farm "Inconvenience Store" (open Tuesdays and Saturdays), Lincoln's Old Cheney Road market, and local grocers, with raw milk available too.

Prairieland Dairy

Firth, NE

Prairieland Dairy is a farmer-owned dairy at Firth, south of Lincoln in Lancaster County. Its website connects it to a group of family dairy operations, including Ohlde Family Farms, that produce and supply milk across Nebraska and Kansas. Shadow Brook Farm & Dutch Girl Creamery

For those of you who do not know us, my name is Kevin Loth, and along with my wife Charuth Van Beuzekom, my parents, and partner Ian Richmond, run a 34 acre diversified farming operation on the southwest edge of Lincoln within the three-mile city limit. Charuth heads up Dutch Girl Creamery making our award-winning goat cheeses, and Ian manages the vegetable production.

Stensland Family Farms Creamery

Stensland Family Farms milks about 200 cows near Larchwood, Iowa, and bottles the milk plus makes ice cream, aged cheese, and cheese curds at its on-farm creamery. What began as a 4-H project now supplies Hy-Vee, Fareway, and Sunshine stores across northwest Iowa and southeast South Dakota. Three ice cream shops in Sioux Falls and a store on the farm scoop it fresh.
