Manoa Honey Company

Wahiawa, HI

Manoa Honey & Mead keeps bee hives across nine apiaries on Oahu, processing the harvest at a Wahiawa facility founded in the late 1990s by Yuki and Erika, who moved from Japan. Their Pele's Gold blend draws nectar from more than 1,000 kinds of island flowers, and the Wahiawa store runs mead tastings Friday through Sunday plus a Saturday Bees to Mead tour.

Maui Bees is a woman-owned farm on the sunny leeward slopes of Haleakalā in Kula, producing seasonal honeys with distinct flavors: mild amber summer honey from Wilelaiki (Christmas berry) blossoms and darker winter honey with caramel undertones from eucalyptus. The farmstand at 2,500 feet is open Tuesday–Saturday with honey sampling, hands-on honeybee tours, and farm-to-table dinners.

Nakihalani Farm in Laupahoehoe on the Big Island grows mamaki — Hawai'i's endemic antioxidant-rich, caffeine-free herbal tea — alongside lilikoi specialties, tropical fruit syrups and jams, herbs, and award-winning honey. The peaceful organic farm also welcomes visitors for farm tours.

Paradise Meadows Orchard and Bee Farm

Paradise Meadows farms 75 acres in the South Point district near Naalehu, growing Kaʻu coffee and macadamia nuts and keeping about 30 beehives that produce honey year-round under Hawaii's near-constant bloom. Since 2004 the family operation has sold its harvest as the "Hawaii's Local Buzz" line, alongside shortbread and chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, with free tastings offered on-site.

Rare Hawaiian Honey Company

Rare Hawaiian Honey Company has produced organic Kiawe honey since 1990, sourced from a single 1,000-acre kiawe forest on the dry side of Hawaii Island — the reason the company calls its white honey the world's rarest gourmet variety. Raw Hawaiian Honey Company

Keaau, HI

Raw Hawaiian Honey Company is run by a third-generation beekeeper producing single-varietal honeys, including Lehua and macadamia blossom, from hives on Hawaii Island. The operation follows organic beekeeping practices and also sells bee pollen, with orders shipped free over $45 from its base on 21st Avenue in Keaau.

The Farm at Hokuala

Lihue, HI

The Farm at Hōkūala in Lihue, Kaua'i is a 16.5-acre fruit orchard and organic vegetable garden reclaimed from an overgrown golf course, home to 12 species of traditional canoe plants brought by the first Polynesian voyagers. An on-site apiary produces around 120 gallons of honey a year for the farm-to-table menu at Hualani's restaurant, and guided hands-on tours cover planting, harvesting, and the farm's history.
