From day one, we ensure our calves receive nutrient-rich milk to support their development. At 60 days old, they are introduced to creep feed to further support healthy growth. Our feeding program prioritizes natural grazing, giving our herd continuous access to grass, forages, and essential minerals. By providing ample space in large trap areas, we create a free-choice environment where our herd can thrive naturally. We market all of our meat direct-to-consumer through our retail market so there is no middle man! We sell everything in retail cuts so that you can get exactly what you are looking for!

Mountain View Orchards

Jemison, AL

Mountain View Orchards has been growing peaches in Chilton County since the 1930s, back when peach growing built this part of Alabama. The farm now runs 4,000 peach trees and 2,500 apple trees across 15 peach varieties and eight apple varieties, ready from late July into October, plus two acres of strawberries. Steve Wilson and Andy Millard, who manage the orchard, bring 50 combined years of growing and marketing fruit to the operation.

Rick's Farm Market

Muscle Shoals, AL

Rick's Farm Market has served the Muscle Shoals area since 2007, pulling in shoppers from as far as Huntsville and Athens. The shelves run wider than produce — homemade jams, Amish goods, tropical plants and flowers, and farm-raised meats alongside fresh vegetables. Open Thursday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Sundays.

Smith and Smith Farms

Steele, AL

Smith and Smith Farms sells tomatoes, squash, and okra off Chandler Mountain Road, on the same mountain where area growers plant roughly 800 acres of tomatoes a year. The stand opens around the first of July and runs through late October, tracking the tomato harvest. Call ahead to check what's picked.

Spradlin Farm

Vinemont, AL

Spradlin Farm is a pick-your-own operation in Cullman County, growing blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries for customers to harvest themselves. It's open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, in season. Call ahead before making the drive to County Road 1242, since picking windows depend on what's ripe.

Suberis Blueberry Farm

Loxley, AL

Bob and Barbara Suberi bought this 70-acre Loxley property in 2008 after years spent sailing around the world, inheriting 6,000 blueberry bushes that hadn't been picked in over a decade. They turned five acres into a u-pick blueberry patch, selling the rest wholesale by the pint to local markets and CSAs. Note: the business has since closed under the Suberis name — confirm current status before visiting.

The Farm at Windy Hill

The Farm at Windy Hill is a working, learning, and destination farm in Mentone, Alabama on Lookout Mountain. The farm grows chemical-free produce and flowers and raises 100% grass-fed and finished beef, pastured and wooded pork, and pasture-raised eggs for Camp DeSoto and the local community, with on-farm market days and farm-to-table events open to visitors.
