About This Farm
Simple Roots Maui raises the island's only pasture-raised chickens on 26 acres of Haleakalā upcountry in Kula, rotating 1,200 to 1,400 birds across pasture with wheeled shelters and temporary fencing. The regenerative farm also keeps a small dairy herd of cows and sheep, and its chicken supplies restaurants including Pacifico on the Beach and Papa'aina. The farm store opens Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am to noon, and 90-minute walking tours run $70 per adult.
