About This Farm
Moon in the Pond Farm has worked the same Sheffield, Massachusetts farmstead since 1991, on land settled in the 1760s. The nonprofit CSA raises heritage-breed sheep, cattle, pigs, and poultry on pasture, producing roughly 10,000 pounds of meat a year alongside honey, eggs, heirloom vegetables, and mushrooms. Its "Bacon Bucks" CSA and farm stand run May through November, with produce also sold Fridays at Rubiner's Cheesemongers in Great Barrington and Saturdays at the Millerton Farmers' Market.
