Frank and Melanie Gieringer planted their first peach trees in Edgerton in 2001 and picked their first crop in 2004; blackberries, strawberries, sweet corn and pumpkins followed, and their son Brice now runs the u-pick fields alongside them. The season moves from strawberries in May through blackberries and peaches in summer to sunflower fields and pumpkins each fall. The farm market sells jams, frozen pies, local honey and doughnuts.
