A Land of Grass raises grass-fed beef and lamb on native prairie north of Conrad, roughly an hour from both Great Falls and Glacier National Park. The ranch never tills its ground; nearly all of it stays in perennial native vegetation. It also sells fine wool roving and batting. Guests can stay in a 1906 farmhouse and take self-guided bird and wildlife walks. Beef comes in quarters, halves, and wholes from June through January.
