Terre Haute

The Pickery is a small, direct-to-consumer organic farm on the edge of Terre Haute, growing tree fruit alongside cooking and salad vegetables for pick-your-own visitors. L&A Family Farms grows more than 30 sunflower varieties outside Paris, from 15-foot giants down to dwarf types, cut into a walkable maze reached by wagon ride. U-pick zinnias and cut sunflowers round out the field, alongside self-guided nature trails and a dahlia and cosmos bloom that runs late August through frost. General admission is $10, $5 for kids 3 to 9, and includes one sunflower bloom per ticket.

The farm store adds a bakery with apple dumplings and cinnamon rolls, a scoop shop, and local honey and Vermont maple syrup for anyone stocking up after the pick. Apple season typically runs August through late October.

Marshall

Bess Berries grows berries for picking on Illinois Highway 1 outside Marshall in Clark County, part of the area's cluster of u-pick strawberry operations that run mid-May through June. Specific hours and current offerings aren't posted online beyond directory listings.

Corn Maze In Brazil runs an interactive corn maze alongside a petting zoo, a smaller maze for toddlers, bounce houses, and a sand park.
