Rune Wines runs Arizona's only off-grid, solar-powered winery and tasting room, on Highway 82 in Sonoita. Winemaker James Callahan works with Rhône varietals and wild yeast fermentation, sourcing grapes from vineyards around the state rather than a single estate block. The list runs from Viognier and Chardonnay to Grenache and two styles of Syrah, poured outdoors under a shade canopy when weather allows.
