South Ridge Farms has been growing red tart cherries on this ground since 1984, alongside apples, peaches, pears, and fall pumpkins and squash. The Rowley family built a cider mill for fresh-pressed apple juice and a chocolate-panning line that coats their dried fruit and nuts. Their retail store, Rowley's Red Barn, opened in 1999 and still runs an old-fashioned ice cream parlor next to the produce stand and pick-your-own fields.
