About Pacific Produce
Pacific Produce has grown hydroponic butter lettuce on Maui since Geoff Haines and Paul Singleton started the operation in 1997, using nutrient film technique across roughly 88,000 plants. The farm now produces up to 4,500 pounds of specialty lettuces a week — butter, red leaf, mini romaine, and watercress — vacuum-cooled and shipped to wholesalers who supply restaurants and retailers on Maui and Oahu. It is a wholesale grower and does not sell direct to the public.
