Roughly 150 bison graze the 120 acres at Lazy G Ranch on Dodson Branch Road outside Cookeville. The Gaw family runs it as a working ranch and agritourism stop, with a store open Thursdays and Fridays selling bison meat, shirts, and novelties. School groups take wagon rides through the herd. Every December the ranch lights up for Christmas and stages a live nativity.
