About Hawai'i Institute of Pacific Agriculture
The Hawai'i Institute of Pacific Agriculture runs an educational farm in Kapaau, in Hawaii Island's North Kohala district, where staff cultivate native Hawaiian and Polynesian plants, tropical fruit orchards, and market garden crops. The nonprofit teaches regenerative farming through a beginner farmer training program for ages 18-28, K-12 farm-to-school classes, and community workshops. Produce from the market garden supplies the Kohala Food Hub CSA and local farmers markets.
