Friends Farm is run by Friends Ministry, a nonprofit that grows tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, peppers, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, and raspberries on land along M-66 south of Lake City. The roadside stand stays open around the clock, cash or card, and the farm also runs a barter-for-labor program for residents of Wexford and Missaukee counties. Produce shows up in the cooler at the Lake City Thrift Store too.
