Double E Ranch runs guests through year-round horseback riding, cattle roundups, and horsemanship clinics on 30,000 acres bordering the Gila National Forest, three miles east of Gila village. Five furnished cabins sit in a green valley along Bear Creek, and the kitchen serves home-raised, chemical-free beef and buffalo. Cowgirl camps and roping clinics are regular offerings. El Paso is about three hours south; Albuquerque, five hours northeast.
