Cascadian Farm began here in 1972, when Gene Kahn started growing organic crops on a stretch of the Skagit Valley along State Route 20 in the North Cascades. The site became the home farm behind the national Cascadian Farm organic brand. As of summer 2022 it is no longer open to visitors, so the former roadside produce and berry-shake stand is closed.
