About CAFES Experimental Farm
CAFES Experimental Farm is Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's hands-on teaching ground for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, spanning the Trestle Vineyard, a vertical farm used by engineering students, and the Swanton Pacific Ranch forestry site. Students run the operations — from grape processing to sausage making — as coursework, not staff-run production.
