Bear Swamp Orchard grew from 5 to about 60 apple varieties on 6 certified-organic acres in Ashfield after opening in 2006. It made apple brandy and hard ciders with wild-yeast fermentation only, no sulfites or filtering, and ran U-pick apples each fall alongside vinegar, jams, and maple syrup. The orchard has since closed; owners announced the closure on Instagram, thanking customers for their support.
