About Barters Island Bees
Barters Island Bees started in 2020 with three hives and now runs a retail honey shop near Boothbay Harbor at 957 Wiscassett Road. Donna and Denny Denniston sell raw, small-batch honey plus a line called Maine Mousse, honey blended with organic fruit in flavors like blueberry-lemon, cinnamon, and ginger. The shop keeps seasonal hours, closed most Mondays June through November.
