Seneca Orchards grows tree fruit on Orleans Road in Clifton Springs, Ontario County, in the Finger Lakes east of Canandaigua. The lakes moderate the climate here enough to make this reliable apple and orchard country.

Sterling

Ontario Orchards started in 1965 when Dennis and June Ouellette turned an old barn into a farm store off Route 104 near Oswego. It now runs a bakery, a cider mill, and greenhouses alongside the market. You'll find u-pick apples and strawberries, local horseradish, mustard and cheese, garden plants, and gift baskets. The farm also welcomes Harvest Hosts RV travelers who park overnight beside the apple rows.

Penn Yan

Apple Barrel Orchards is a fourth-generation, 86-acre fruit farm near Penn Yan in the Finger Lakes, where visitors pick their own apples and buy cider pressed on site. The tasting room sits inside the original 1896 farm barn, and a farm store plus a members' Barrel Club round out the operation. It took the FLX Finest gold medal for best apple orchard in 2025 and 2026.

The on-site bakery makes pies, breads, and cookies, and an apple-season fritter stand serves fritter sundaes. The Barn restaurant and a daily country store round it out, and the farm hosts weddings. Two decades in, it leans on earth-friendly growing and local sourcing.

Pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, and a wide range of apples grow at this Route 20 orchard south of Syracuse, in the Navarino area of Marcellus. The country store and bakery turn out pies, breads, and cookies daily, alongside homemade jams and canned goods, and the apple fritter sundae is a fall draw. The on-site Barn Restaurant serves lunch and dinner most of the week, and u-pick shifts by season from berries to tomatoes to apples.
