Red Hen Farm grows raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, apples, and pumpkins on Spurgin Road west of Reserve Street in Missoula, using organic methods. Strawberries and raspberries draw the biggest U-pick crowds. Hens range across a three-acre orchard and lay the eggs sold at the farm stand alongside fruit and vegetables. The farm also sells at the Clark Fork Market on Saturday mornings.

Missoula's only USDA-certified organic U-pick apple and raspberry orchard, at the far west end of South Avenue and marked by a water wheel. Raspberries usually ripen in July, apples from early September into mid-October, and the orchard supplies the picking containers. Run by farmer Fred, Green Bench has given thousands of dollars and hundreds of pounds of apples to the Missoula Food Bank since 2020.

A 20-acre family farm and nursery in the Bitterroot Valley near Stevensville, with about five acres in vegetable production grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides. KT-Farms sells through an on-site farm stand, a CSA program, and U-pick fields. The lineup runs from peas, beans, and tomatoes to squash, root crops, and peppers, plus strawberries, melons, and a limited apple crop, framed by Sapphire and Bitterroot mountain views.
