Pick-your-own strawberries run a short window here, roughly late June into mid-July, before the farm shifts to its fall identity as Triple S Pumpkins. The Gerads family grows more than 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, with a swing trail winding through the woods out to the patch and farm animals for kids. David Stish first bought the Royalton land in 1978 and ran it as a cut-your-own Christmas tree and berry operation. Open weekends from mid-September through October.

Little Elk Organic Farm is a certified organic, generational family farm along the Little Elk River near Randall, selling raw organic milk and cream, free-range eggs, beef, pastured poultry, hand-harvested wild rice, hardneck garlic, and maple syrup. Saint Joseph

A & G Corn Maze cuts an eight-acre maze in two phases near Saint Joseph, a quick beginner loop and a longer 45-to-60-minute puzzle, named for the owners' two oldest kids, Akeelah and Gavin. The fall festival started in 2010 and adds a giant jumping pillow, goat fishing, human hamster wheels, human foosball, and pumpkins. It runs weekends from late September through late October.

Avon

Rolling Hills Cattle Company in Avon is Minnesota's premiere producer of British White beef genetics — commercial, registered, and American Fullblood breeding stock plus certified semen. The naturally polled, gentle-dispositioned breed is developed for rugged grass-based production: high fertility, easy calving, excellent milk, and superior flavor, with bulls bred to thrive under tough conditions on minimal inputs.

T Berries opens for pick-your-own strawberries in June, usually 7 to 10 a.m. until the patch is picked out, at its Stearns County farm on County Road 9 near Avon. Buckets and take-home boxes are provided, and it's cash or check only. The stand also sells low-sugar jams and jellies, crock-fermented sauerkraut, local maple syrup, honey, and Minnesota-made BBQ sauce. Call for daily picking conditions.

Baxter Market sets up Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., mid-May through October, in the Westport Shopping Center parking lot between Pizza Hut and Keller Williams. About ten vendors rotate through as the season builds, including Stone Hill Farm and Thorson's Farm Fresh Produce, selling produce, buffalo meat, baked goods, and candles. It's one stop on the Brainerd Lakes Area Farmers Markets circuit.

The winter counterpart to St. Joseph's Friday market moves indoors from November through April, setting up in the Fellowship Hall at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 610 County Road 2. Sal and Stephanie started keeping bees as a hobby in 2016 and turned it into Sweet Honey Drop two years later, a family apiary in Sauk Rapids selling raw, unfiltered honey that keeps its natural pollen and enzymes intact. The veteran-owned operation now wholesales to retailers across Central Minnesota and sells nucleus hives each spring, with free beekeeping instruction included for buyers who pick one up.
