Little Elk Organic Farm is a certified organic, generational family farm along the Little Elk River near Randall, selling raw organic milk and cream, free-range eggs, beef, pastured poultry, hand-harvested wild rice, hardneck garlic, and maple syrup. Pick-your-own strawberries run a short window here, roughly late June into mid-July, before the farm shifts to its fall identity as Triple S Pumpkins. The Gerads family grows more than 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, with a swing trail winding through the woods out to the patch and farm animals for kids. David Stish first bought the Royalton land in 1978 and ran it as a cut-your-own Christmas tree and berry operation. Open weekends from mid-September through October.

This market at 108 Wall St in Onamia runs through the spring and fall growing season, selling locally sourced wild rice, maple syrup, honey, seasonal produce, and homemade bread and preserves — much of it grown or gathered around the Mille Lacs Lake area. Most, though not all, of the produce is grown without chemical inputs. It's a small operation built around what the region actually produces well.

Elm Island Lake Berry Farm has grown u-pick strawberries and raspberries since 1997 on small fields ringed by woods and hay meadows, six and a half miles southeast of Aitkin on County Road 12. Picking usually runs from late June into mid-July. Hours shift with the crop, so the farm asks pickers to call ahead for daily conditions; pre-picked berries need a few hours' notice.
