Run by Zywiec's Landscape and Garden Center just south of Cottage Grove, the Haunting Experience has staged Halloween scares since 1986, billed as the Twin Cities area's longest-running haunted hayride. The daytime corn maze plays it straight for families, hiding five themed items to photograph for a prize at the exit. After dark comes a swampy maze, haunted house, bonfires, a Lions Club beer tent and horror films screened in the greenhouse. More at zywiecs.com.
