About This Farm
Walker Farm traces its land back to a 1763 grant from King George, 400 acres at the foot of Whortleberry Hill spanning New Braintree, West Brookfield, and North Brookfield. The current herd of Red Devon cattle, established in 2012, grazes grass without any grain finishing or antibiotics. Beyond beef, the farm sells honey, beeswax, firewood, and lumber, and won Massachusetts Tree Farm of the Year in 2010 for how it manages its woodlots.
