The Waldrop family has farmed this Carroll County land since the 1820s, and their farm store still sells what the land produces: grass-fed and grain-finished Angus beef built from more than thirty years of selective breeding, pastured chicken, heritage turkey, and seasonal u-pick produce. The Waldrop Mercantile, across from the Winston post office, stays open daily until dark and doubles as a CSA pickup point.
