Run by Mississippi State University, the Crosby Arboretum protects and displays plants native to the Pearl River Basin across a 104-acre interpretive site in Picayune. Trails wind through savanna, woodland, and aquatic habitat exhibits, centered on the award-winning Pinecote Pavilion, which is available for event rentals. The arboretum runs tours and education programs and opens Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It joins the Blue Star Museums program with free summer admission for military families.
