About This Farm
Sustainable Settings milks 15 cows from a biodynamic, 100% grass-fed herd of Guernsey-Jersey cattle on 244 acres outside Carbondale, at 6,500 feet. Around 100 families within 35 miles hold cowshares here, and the ranch also raises beef, lamb, pork, and poultry, plus a vegetable CSA, eggs, and medicinal herbs. It doubles as a Whole Systems Learning Center, hosting school groups and tours by appointment. The ranch store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm, fullest on Saturday mornings.
