St. Bruno Bread Co. is a wholesale artisan bakery in Baton Rouge founded by Steven Gottfried, a Covington native trained at the San Francisco Baking Institute. The bakery bakes croissants, baguettes, sourdough, focaccia, and pizza dough daily using only flour, water, salt, and long fermentation — no preservatives. It supplies more than 30 restaurants and grocers across the Baton Rouge area, with newer routes into Addis and Port Allen. A sister operation, St. Bruno Pizza Co., sells pies for pickup Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
