About This Farm
Soil Born Farms is a nonprofit urban farm on more than 50 acres at American River Ranch in Rancho Cordova, one of California's largest urban agriculture sites. The farm runs about 140 classes a year on food, nutrition and ecological growing, alongside its own organic produce. What began as a for-profit farm in 2000 became a nonprofit in 2004; the farm stand is open to the public Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
