Skyline Chestnuts is a gather-your-own chestnut orchard on Skyline Boulevard above La Honda, open Wednesday through Sunday during the October–November harvest. Chestnuts run $10.50 a pound with a cash discount, and morning visitors need an advance parking reservation since the mountain lot is small. It's a pick-them-off-the-ground operation, not a pick-from-the-tree one.
