Sharpe Hill planted its first vines on this Pomfret hilltop in 1992 and opened the winery in 1997; the estate now covers more than 100 acres and has picked up over 225 international competition medals. Its flagship, Ballet of Angels, is the best-selling wine produced in New England. A Zagat-rated restaurant and the Fireside Tavern serve wood-grilled food alongside the tastings, with sweeping views over the vineyard.
