Shalom Orchard in Franklin has made certified organic fruit wine since 2000 — blueberry, honey mead, hard cider, even rhubarb and kiwi — making it, by their own claim, the only certified organic winery on the East Coast. The same ridge-top property grows the organic fruit that goes into the wine, jams, and sodas, and doubles as a bed and breakfast for anyone who wants to wake up above the orchard.
