About Schartner Farms
Schartner Farm is a family apple orchard and fall farm in Bolton, Massachusetts, started in 1902 when Julius Schartner came to town from Austria and now run by the fourth generation. Pick-your-own apples begin with Paula Red in late August or early September and run through Red Delicious and Golden Delicious in early October, with Macintosh, Macoun, Cortland and Empire in between. The farm also has a 4-acre corn maze, free hayrides when weather permits, farm animals and a beer garden. Since 2006 the land has been protected under a state Agricultural Preservation Restriction.
