About Scatter Good Farm
Scatter Good Farm in Brunswick is home to Growing to Give, a nonprofit that grows and donates organic vegetables from three of the farm's 40 acres. The Carton-Newlin family also keeps seven Nigerian Dwarf goats and organic chickens, mills custom lumber from the property's 30 acres of forest, and rents out space through Airbnb. They amend their soil with biochar to sequester carbon rather than relying only on compost. It's a half hour from Portland, Bath, or Lewiston-Auburn.
