Rogowski Farm has grown vegetables in the Pine Island black dirt region of Orange County since 1955, focusing on diverse and unusual produce beyond the usual market crops. The family runs a CSA, sells at farmers markets, and posts recipes to help members cook what turns up in their shares. These muck soils, drained from an old glacial lakebed, are some of the most productive vegetable ground in New York.
