About Red Star Ranch

Red Star Ranch traces back to the 1940s along the Snake River canyon near Hazelton, when the family first settled land that grew crops but no livestock. That changed in 2012, when the fourth generation added Red Devon cattle, Red Wattle pigs, and Red Ranger chickens, heritage breeds raised on cover-crop pasture without hormones or antibiotics. The grass-finished meat now sells through Idaho Food Coop and Atkinson's Markets.
