Pumpkins Etc. keeps admission free at its you-pick patch outside Platte City, north of Kansas City. Beyond the pumpkins, the farm grows thousands of mums and stocks Indian corn, gourds, and bittersweet for fall decorating. Kids climb on dump trucks and an excavator, run a hay maze and corn maze, and play in a playhouse. It's open Friday through Sunday during the season.
