Pierce's Pumpkin Patch has grown pumpkins on the same Chariton ground since 1981, cultivating more than 120 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds each season. Visitors work through a hay-bale maze populated with farm animals, then pick up fall décor and treats before heading home. The patch opens the last weekend of September and runs through October, with its Fall Festival held the second weekend of October.
