About This Farm
Ryan Pekarek started this vegetable farm near Dwight in 2004 while still in college and now grows more than 50 crops across 15-plus acres. The season opens in April with radishes, lettuce, and spinach, moves through beans, beets, and sweet corn, and closes in fall with tomatoes, melons, squash, and pumpkins. Pekarek sells to area schools and the Lone Tree Foods distributor, and at the Seward and Lincoln Haymarket markets.
