Pakeen Farm in Canton has been in the same family since 1899, and 150 of its acres are permanently protected under a 1994 conservation restriction with the Trustees of Reservations. The farm added Christmas trees in 1993, a CSA in 2009, and a fall harvest season — pumpkins, apples, hot cider, mini donuts — starting in 2012. It's a working farm first; the retail side grew up around it slowly, one decade at a time.
