Ottawa Farms has worked the same ground in Bloomingdale since 1878, now run by third-generation owner Pete Waller on the family's 350-acre farm just outside Savannah. It's a working farm first — U-pick strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries in season, plus hormone-free Angus beef raised on pasture. The farm opens to visitors Saturdays only, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so call ahead rather than showing up on a whim.
