About New Roots Cooperative Farm
New Roots Cooperative Farm is a 30-acre producer co-op in Lewiston founded by Somali Bantu farmers building new agricultural livelihoods in Maine. They grow vegetables using organic practices, with plans toward formal certification, and sell through a CSA, area farmers markets, wholesale accounts, and their own farmstand. Hoophouses in nearby Lisbon extend the growing season. CSA pickup spots stretch from Lewiston to South Portland, Bath, Damariscotta, and Kennebunk.
