Founded by John Tecklin in 1997 on the San Juan Ridge near Nevada City, Mountain Bounty Farm is the oldest and largest CSA farm in the Sierras — an 18-acre organic farm whose land is protected in perpetuity with the Bear Yuba Land Trust. The year-round CSA delivers organic vegetable and fruit boxes, plus partner shares of flowers and mushrooms, to pickups from Grass Valley to Truckee, Tahoe, and Reno, and the farm's strawberries headline the Saturday Nevada City Farmers Market each summer.
