It all began in Fairbury, Illinois in 1888 when our great grandfather Sam Slagel purchased the original farm grounds. 5 generations later, our family now runs a small, diversified farm raising livestock and focusing on high-quality meats rather than mass production. This all-natural and hands-on approach allows us to control every aspect of the operation – from breeding and genetics to the feed rations we give to the livestock.
